Halloween Workshop

Join us in the studio for this spooky (but classy!) one-off workshop.

Create your own magically, creepy forest floor to preserve in a beautiful, glass bell jar. Great for Halloween but I know ours will be a permanent fixture on my mantlepiece!)
You will have the chance to form your own mossy 'terrain' in paper and joint compound before making additions of mushrooms, toadstools, foliage, lichens and mouldy spores. We'll also have a selection of teeny critters that you can choose to hide amongst your undergrowth as a spooky final touch.
You will learn how to use paint techniques to add realistic textures and surfaces using some pretty strange materials before finally placing your work in a beautiful bell jar for display.

This is a really lovely way to spend a creative afternoon either on your own or with friends in a relaxed and friendly space. All our workshops are run from my purpose built garden studio in Boughton, just a mile from Chester Cross.

Your materials will all be provided but please feel free to bring an apron or old shirt to protect your clothes for any messy bits!

Coffee, tea and copious biscuits will be available during the workshop to keep up energy levels but you may want to bring a little packed lunch to sustain you further.

The diorama workshops will run from 10 - 3pm.
