I’m Tamzin, and I run Art workshops as well as a design and stationery business from my little garden studio in the city of Chester.
I have a degree in Fine Art from the Ruskin, Oxford University and nearly 30 years experience teaching as a qualified art teacher and head of department within Cheshire Secondary schools and 6th Form Colleges.
I offer on-site, smaller group workshops for up to 6 people in my studio in Chester. These workshops are ever-changing and sometimes just one-off experiences where you will make something completely different from many other art courses. Its the perfect way to spend a creative afternoon in a relaxed and friendly environment where you are guaranteed to learn new skills and make something beautiful to take home. Alongside running workshops and teaching, I make my own work and also run an online business selling my designs. I am drawn to the unusual, cultural and the historical, and I love the oddities, charm and quirks of things not being completely 'perfect'. I have a love of colour and bold forms - and am definitely more maximalist than minimalist! My design motivation is to produce work that highlights the beautiful and varied world we live in. There is joy everywhere if we take the time to look.
