Mexican Heart Workshop

Join us at the studio @Beechlands to make a stunning handmade Mexican Heart!

Perfect to give as a fun Valentines gift to a loved one but we might be inclined to just keep it for ourselves! In this workshop you will form and paint your own heart inspired by the wonderful Milagros hearts found in Mexican folk art. Milagros, meaning miracles in Spanish, are small folk charms found throughout Mexico and Peru. The Heart Milagro (also known as the Sacred Heart) represents love, healing and gratitude.

A mixture of techniques will be used including, card relief and paper-mache before painting and having the option to embellish with gold and possibly beads to make them even more fantastic!

This is a really lovely way to spend a creative afternoon either on your own or with friends in a relaxed and friendly workspace. All workshops are run from our purpose built garden studio in Boughton, just a mile from Chester Cross.

All materials will be provided. Please feel free to bring an apron or old shirt with you if you would like.

Simple refreshments and snacks will be available during the workshop but please feel free to bring a packed lunch with you. (There is a bakery and small supermarket just around the corner if you would like to get something there)

The heart workshop will run from 10 - 3pm.
