Pajaki Workshop

£50.00

Join us at the studio @Beechlands and make your own incredible Pajaki!

Originating from the Polish word for Spiders, these wonderful folk art creations were traditionally made by country women as decorations for a number of celebrations such as christenings, weddings, birthdays, Easter and Christmas. Meant to emulate the ornate chandeliers found in aristocratic houses they were suspended from a ceiling in a main room and became a hugely popular decoration in Polish village houses.
In this workshop you will be creating your own wonderful pajakis in tissue, straw, paper and card. We think they are a perfect, joyful flourish to add to any room and suitable for any time of the year!

A mixture of techniques will be used including paper and tissue construction. Plenty of inspirational material will be provided.

This is a really lovely way to spend a creative afternoon either on your own or with friends in a relaxed and friendly workspace. All workshops are run from our purpose built garden studio in Boughton, just a mile from Chester Cross.

Your materials are all provided in the cost of the booking. There are no wet materials in this workshop so no need to bring protective clothing!.

Simple refreshments and snacks will be available during the workshop but please feel free to bring a packed lunch with you. (There is a bakery and small supermarket just around the corner if you would like to get something there)

The Pajaki workshop will run from 10 - 3pm.

Places will be limited to 4 as we will work with our creations suspended from the ceiling. (so book soon to avoid disappointment!)

Further details and directions will be emailed to you at time of booking.
