Sign Painting Workshop

Join us at the studio @Beechlands and make your own wonderful, bespoke letter or number in enamel paint on board.

Perfect to add a touch of retro glam to your interior space! In this workshop you will be introduced to the fabulous world of typography and lettering. Inspired by Fairground Art and traditional Sign Writing you will choose from a selection of fonts and learn to lay out and measure your letter or number before transferring and painting onto a wooden panel ready to take home and hang.

A mixture of techniques will be used including, layout, compositional approaches, painting and application gold leaf (gilding). Plenty of inspirational material will be provided.

This is a really lovely way to spend a creative afternoon either on your own or with friends in a relaxed and friendly workspace. All workshops are run from our purpose built garden studio in Boughton, just a mile from Chester Cross.

Your materials are all provided in the cost of the booking. Please feel free to bring an apron or old shirt with you if you would like.

Simple refreshments and snacks will be available during the workshop but please feel free to bring a packed lunch with you. (There is a bakery and small supermarket just around the corner if you would like to get something there)

The signwriting workshop will run from 10 - 3pm.
